I just learned that someone I knew passed away in today's plane crash in Palo Alto. Andrew rowed at my rowing club and although I didn't know him well, I remember him fondly. Genuine, friendly and kind. I'm shocked and sad to know he's gone.
Wherever he is, may he be rowing peacefully on the smoothest water.
